Meet The Founder

Hey! My name is Holly Johnson however, I also go by Holl Doll if you’d like. Im 23 years old, originally from Brisbane Queensland, although I’ve had the privilege of travelling around a bit experiencing many beautiful counties and styles that I love trying to incorporate into my art.

I specialise, in Couple, Engagement, Micro Weddings, Elopements and Wedding photography and frankly anything about love. I started photography as a way of capturing the world to show to others how beautiful little moments really are. I believe love truly is the most beautiful thing that you can see on this earth and what better way to stay in the moment for your life, than capturing that feeling? Activities aside from photography that you will usually find me doing generally include, going to the gym, at church, cafe jumping (on a quest to find the best gluten free food), teaching pottery and running a Clay and Sip business. I also enjoy spending time planning trips and finding unique spots around Queensland on day trips with friends.

  • If it makes you feel more comfortable, most certainly. I am more than happy to meet at a café / bar, or whatever tickles your fancy. I know like a number of my clients, this isn’t always possible due to people living interstate & overseas, in which case we can organise a Skype hang one day / evening if thats suits you. we can discuss and go through planning a prompt sheet and see your ideas.

  • I always shoot with a Canon, either with my 70D body, or my Canon R10 body and a range of prime canon lenses, together with flashes and a light reflector. I prefer to shoot events in the thick of it as I find it gets the best shots and promotes my creativity to capture pure moments with candids.

  • My turn around time to get your precious memories to you is currently a month, due to studies the editing process and wanting to give you the best photos possible! So I usually go through and edit over everything twice just to make sure your photos are picture perfect.

  • If for some reason (which thankfully has never occurred yet) I am unable to make it to document your day, I have couple of additional photographers that I have worked with in the past and always delivered consistently great images. Any work in this circumstance would still be edited by myself.  It would take something pretty spectacular for me not to be there, but rest assured, I have all bases covered

  • Each package is different, if you go to ‘SHOP’ you will find how many photos are in each individual package. All of the images that you will receive will be high resolution, carefully edited JPG images for you to keep. You can share, copy print and post the photos to your heart’s content. Absolutely no watermarks, no encryptions they are yours to keep & use as you wish. These are then kept online on backup for 2 years, however is it highly recommended that you download and store them somewhere safe. All images will be shared via a private link on google drive.

  • Because I want to give everyone the opportunity to have beautiful memories captured no matter the price tag. I am still building my portfolio and even though I’ve had many years of professional training I want to be able to offer my services across a spectrum of people especially while I’m studying.

  • Every now and again nature can be problematic, sometimes this happens to fall on someones wedding day, or a special day. But I’ll let you in on a secret of the trade storm, rain and dark skies set the mood. They actually create some of the best photographs! I embrace the opportunity to shoot in testing conditions.
